Likes: Eating, Supporting empowering and Teaching Youth and Adults, Running
Dislikes: Losing, The Yankees, Quitting
Why are you competing? Last year I made a promise to myself and to those around me I would do my best in all I did in the community and for myself. In a year filled with success including getting my first job in my field working with youth, I was also elected to advocate for kids in care in Oregon, made Deans List and got my first new car! I want to compete to win but compete to share my story as well!
Likes: Beer, Sports, Bangor
Dislikes: Yankee Fans, Parents who smoke around their children, Vegetables
Why are you competing? Born and raised right here in Bangor, Maine. I have seen this city develop and become one of the best places to live in America. I only want to see this great city grow and prosper. With events like KahBang, the American Folk Festival, and many others, our economy is slowly growing. Chain businesses are starting to take note and this can only lead to more growth. I want the best for Bangor. I want to retain our talent and to put back into this city. Plus, at 6’3 220, I’m the closest thing Bangor has to the actual Paul Bunyan.
Likes: Hiking, Axing Trees Questions, Eating flapjacks
Dislikes: Shaving, The Cowboys, Things that aren’t flannel
Why are you competing? I heard there were free flapjacks.
Likes: Long walks on the beach, The smell of rich mahogany, farmersonly.com
Dislikes: Vegetables, Sharp objects being thrown in my direction, having my tongue burnt.
Why are you competing? Even though I may not be the strongest, hungriest, or tallest lumberjack around, people should still vote for me because I make some mean scrambled eggs. I’m also fluent in women *purrrrr*
Likes: Long walks in the forest, Pine tree air fresheners, The word “Timmmmbbbber”, and the great state of Maine, but that goes without saying!
Dislikes: Crepes… They’re just fancy flap jacks. Polyester blends, I just don’t understand them.
Fluorescent light, just step outside and enjoy some sunlight.
Why are you competing? It’s time to show Bangor what it’s like to come from the northern Maine woods. I want to show the city folk what it means to do a full days work, all while maintaining a high fashion sense in your flannel shirt and overhauls, bub.
Likes: Concerts, Snowboarding, Traveling
Dislikes: Losing, Complaints, Traffic
Why are you competing? Having to look at the Paul Bunyan statue all day, makes me want to be more like him.
Likes: Snow, Traveling, The Outdoors.
Dislikes: Traffic, Ketchup, Mosquitos
Why are you competing? The four years that I have been away at college have made me realize just how much I love Maine. I can¹t think of a better way to celebrate the place that I love so much then by participating in this competition.
Likes: Hiking, Autumn, Campfires
Dislikes: Humidity, Canned peas, City lights that block out the stars
Why are you competing? As a Maine native, I have been able to experience what this state has to offer. The time I have spent out-of-state has only shown me how unique and beautiful Maine really is. If I never knew what it’s like to live in a state other than Maine, I wouldn’t fully understand this
state’s greatness. I believe I should be the next Mrs. Paul Bunyan because my love for Maine is stronger now more than ever, thanks to my combined perspective of living in and out-of state.
Likes: Other than myself? YOU!! But, I don’t even know you. Ummm . Ok ok, animals, food, and travel.
Dislikes: heartache, maggots, pain
Why are you competing? I am awesome. No, really. I am shy but I am not afraid to try new things, I love to meet new people, and I love to laugh. I love me some good ole pancakes, however, loving them enough to compete to the point my stomach hurts will be a test. Pick me because I am silly enough to embarrass myself in front of all of you. I am already embarrassed just thinking about it. MMMM,
Do we get syrup? Did I mention that I have never been white water rafting? And I am from Maine.
Likes:Babe, Pancakes, Choppin wood
Dislikes: Chocolate, The desert (no trees), City folk
Why are you competing? I like Paul and pancakes and I look good in plaid.
Likes: Baked bean suppers, Looking at the river, Long johns
Dislikes: Leaving Maine, Poorly stacked firewood, Being indoors
Why are you competing? The statue of Paul Bunyan in Bangor was my grandmother’s idea, her name was Connie Bronson. I feel called to carry on her legacy and continue our family’s dedication to this famous lumberjack by competing to be Ms. Paul Bunyan 2014.
